Dr Tanya Trinh
Dr. Trinh completed her medical degree at the University of Queensland, where she received the AMA (Queensland) Harold Plant Prize for Best All-Rounded Graduate. Following RANZCO training, she undertook a two-year Cornea, External Diseases and Refractive Surgery fellowship at the University of Toronto, where she was appointed Chief Fellow and awarded the Lim Memorial Prize for best surgical skills and teaching excellence. Her practice encompasses laser vision correction (LASIK, PRK, Lenticular Extraction), Implantable Collamer Lenses, refractive lens exchange, cataract surgery, corneal transplantation and complex anterior segment surgery.She has published more than 45 peer-reviewed articles and presents regularly at national and international conferences. In 2021, she was appointed Cornea Staff Specialist at Sydney Eye Hospital, where she co-directs Australia’s only Keratoprosthesis Service and contributes to GP, subspecialty and optometric education. In 2022, she became the first Australian graduate of the Physician CEO Program at Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management, reflecting her commitment to clinical excellence and leadership.
Dr. Trinh is a world renowned refractive, cornea and cataract surgeon based in Sydney, recognised for precision surgery and leadership in modern vision correction. She holds fellowships from the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (RANZCO), the World College of Refractive Surgery and Vision Sciences (FWCRSVS), and the European Board of Ophthalmology Subspecialty in Cornea & Refractive Surgery (FEBOS CR). She is the first female surgeon in Australia to be awarded Fellowship of the World College of Refractive Surgery and Vision Sciences and the first female surgeon in Australia to complete the P.E.R.F.E.C.T. for Pterygium Fellowship. She remains the only surgeon outside Queensland to have attained this qualification, having trained under Professor Lawrie Hirst in 2024.

Dr Charmaine Chung is committed to providing individualized patient-centred care and values collaboration with General Practitioners, Optometrists and other medical specialists. In addition to Lumière Vision Cremorne, she consults at Strathfield Retina Clinic, Freedom Eye Laser in Dee Why and Mona Vale Eye Centre.
Dr Charmaine Chung is an eye specialist with a particular interest in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of retinal conditions including Macular degeneration, Diabetic Retinopathy and other less common retinal diseases. She participates in the recruitment and management of patients in multi-centre international trials investigating emerging treatments for retinal disease. She has authored several peer-reviewed publications and contributes data to the global Fight Retinal Blindness registry which was initiated in Australia. Dr Charmaine Chung graduated from the University of Sydney with First Class Honours in Medicine and subsequently completed a Masters of Public Health with Honours. Her general ophthalmology and surgical training at Sydney Eye Hospital included rotations across metropolitan Sydney and regional hospitals in NSW providing broad experience in managing complex ophthalmic conditions in diverse local and migrant populations.
She completed a Medical Retina Fellowship at Westmead Public Hospital gaining extensive experience in retinal diagnostics, retinal laser treatment and the regular administration of ocular injections with a strong focus on patient comfort and long-term care. She has years of experience in the diagnosis and management of other common general eye conditions including glaucoma and dry eye syndrome.
Dr Colin Clement
Glaucoma Specialist and General Ophthalmologist

Before studying medicine, Dr Clement completed a PhD at the University of Sydney, researching neural pathways that influence behavioural and physiological responses to pain. His strong scientific foundation continues to shape his clinical practice and research. He has authored one textbook, seven book chapters and more than 65 peer-reviewed papers. He is Director of the Glaucoma Surgery Wet Lab at the Sight Foundation, where he leads hands-on surgical training courses, is the course designer and coordinator for the MIGS Academy and he serves as a founding editor of Clinical and Experimental Vision and Eye Research as well as Associate Editor of the Journal of Current Glaucoma Practice. Dr Clement is an executive board member of the Asia Pacific Glaucoma Society for which he serves as treasurer. He also proudly supports charities that promote eye health including in his role as visionary for the Sight for All foundation and lead glaucoma specialist for the Australian K-Pro Service. He is a key-opinion leader and frequently invited speaker at national and international conferences. Dr Clement is widely recognised for his thoughtful, evidence based approach and his commitment to advancing glaucoma care through research, education and surgical excellence.
Dr Colin Clement is a leading Australian specialist in cataract and glaucoma management, known for his expertise in both complex disease and advanced surgical techniques. He has been at the forefront of introducing modern treatment options - including minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) and non-penetrating glaucoma surgery (NPGS) - and is widely regarded for his ability to integrate these innovations safely and effectively, either alone or combined with cataract surgery. Patients frequently seek his opinion for challenging or second-opinion cases, valuing his honest, balanced assessments and his unwavering commitment to patient-centred care.
Dr Clement completed his medical degree at the University of Sydney in 2001, his residency at Royal North Shore Hospital and his advanced ophthalmology training at Sydney Eye Hospital. He then undertook subspecialty training in the United Kingdom, including a clinical ophthalmology fellowship at the Royal United Hospital, Bath, a glaucoma fellowship at the Western Eye Hospital, London, and further specialist glaucoma training at the University of Geneva, Switzerland. He is currently an honorary medical officer at Sydney Eye Hospital and a senior clinical lecturer at the University of Sydney, where he supervises and mentors ophthalmologists in training. Dr Clement is one of only two ophthalmologists in Australia elected as a Fellow of the International Society of Glaucoma Surgery.
